12. Expon. (A) and Log. (A)

The Expon. (A) Module converts a level to an amplitude. A level of 0 yields amplitude of 1, and level of -20 results in amplitude of one tenth. An increase of level by 20 leads to a 10-fold increase in amplitude.


The Log. (A) yields the level given an amplitude. Thus it will result in output of -20 given 0.1 as input.


A fader, named Level with range set from -20 to 0 with a step of 1, contains the Level value. The Expon. (A) module results in output of 0.1.


The resulting amplitude is converted to level, and while it should be exactly -20, there are round off errors.
